Let the Trees Speak

Groups at Risk

Some groups at risk are animals who lose their habitats and don’t have anywhere to live many die. When a forest is cut down, that is another home lost because of our human needs and wants. Other groups at risk are some groups of indigenous people who consider the forest as their home such as the Yanomami, Kayapo, and Ashaninka groups who consider the Amazon forests as their home.

Facts

Since 2016 there have been one football field of forest cut down every second. Many animals are losing there habitat and home because of trees being cut down and forests getting burned down.

The main factor of deforestation is to expand agriculture/make room for growing food and for cattle grazing due to peoples demand for more meat/food.

Cutting down trees is really bad for climate change because when you cut down a tree or a forest the carbon dioxide stored in the tree is let out putting more carbon into the air.
