Languages Spoken In The Pueblos

There are three languages: Tano, Keres, and Zuni, and Tano is a family containing three languages, Tewa, Tiwa, and Towa. I can speak a little bit of Tiwa. I'll share a few words: "poyo" is best friend, and "aquara" is turtle.

History Of The Pueblos

The Puebloans have been here for thousands of years, and thousands more to come. We are Native Americans that live within the Southwest area of the United States, and endured pain and growth. We won the battle against the Spanyards in the 1680 Pueblo Revolt, hence why most of the Pueblos have Spanish names. Across all Pueblos, we share multiple practices, stories, and communities, and I continue to learn and grow from my own.
