Pets need a calm environment to live. After a pet comes in we give it a comfortable environment to get back into a life where they are cared for. When we find them a home we make sure their human has a similar attitude as them. When dogs come in they usually want a closed secure space, they might also want a perfect never changing routine including meal times and walks. Cats would again want a comfortable and safe feeling space where they can let their guard down, they would also like a consistent place with food and water.
