Wings of Fire is a good book for middle age readers. I started reading in it in 3rd grade, but those were the graphic novels. I read the actual novels in 4th and 5th grade. I consider them very good for just sitting in a chair for a few hours to read. It is so engaging, making it easy to read them for a long time.
