From opening websites to searching for answers, Google has been here for us. But where did it come from? And why? Let's go into the deep depths of google's history to find out!
Google was invented by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1996. While looking for a topic in his doctoral theises, Larry Page had the idea to explore the mathematic areas of the web by looking into it's link structure. Page sudied most of the backround in the links of webpages. This study was originally called "Backrub.
The study was later joined by a random guy named Sergey Brin in the summer of 1995. They met at Stanford Universety when Brin was a tour guide to Page at Stanford. Page's web group started the whole "Backrub" project in March of 1996,about a year later. The code was mainly written in Java script and in Python.
Later, in 2001,some team was jus like, "Ya know what? I am gonna just go copy google and make a better version." It was called microsoft.
